Kate Kehayes, LCMHCA Therapist

Kate is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University.  She has over 3 years counseling experience with a focus on providing support to college students at Wilson Community College.  As a counselor, Kate utilizes a person centered approach to therapy to offer a safe space where clients can feel unique, valued, and worthy of unconditional acceptance. She views therapy as a collaborative process that requires participation from the counselor and client. Together she works with individuals to find solutions that will enhance the clients’ satisfaction with their life experiences.  Techniques she uses in counseling include, but are not limited to: identifying strengths and supports, realistic goal setting, assigning homework, and utilizing unconditional positive regard.
