Marina is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who is accustomed to working with clients who have experienced various traumas.  Her personal philosophy of counseling is that all people have within them the resources needed and deserve the opportunity for sustained mental wellness and positive life outcomes.  Her role as a practitioner is to partner with the client, to understand their social and cultural contexts, and to provide a counseling experience that empowers them to meet and maintain their mental wellness goals.  Her individual counseling style has a Person-Centered foundation.  She employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, and other evidence-based treatments to best meet the needs of the client.  Building strong relationships with clients and being open and flexible with treatment approaches to best meet the needs of the individual is important to her.
