Nicole Cates, LPA Therapist

As a trained Clinical Psychologist, Nicole’s approach to therapy follows evidence-based therapeutic techniques to ensure quality services to clients suffering from a variety of mental health needs.  She received her graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2017, a program which promoted the use of Cognitive Behavioral Analysis, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with culturally competent practice. Her goal is to provide her clients with a non-judgmental, safe space in which to process their current
distress from relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse concerns. Nicole works together with her clients in a collaborative setting in order to identify and attain therapeutic and life goals throughout the course of therapeutic interventions.
