Reduced Fee Program:

New Leaf Behavioral Health believes that people in need of help should be able to receive effective mental health care that is both affordable and accessible. Guided by a socially responsible philosophy, we strive to provide the highest level of care that is designed to be inclusive of all in need of support in our community.

New Leaf offers free and low fee services for individuals and families who have difficulty affording mental health treatment.  Often, the out-of-pocket costs for therapy (due to lack of insurance or high insurance co-payments and deductibles) can make getting help seem out of reach.  If you would like to find out more information about low-cost options for therapy, please contact a New Leaf staff member at (919) 781-8370 or by email at info@nlbh.org.

Group Fees:

Group therapy expenses are the responsibility of the participant regardless of insurance coverage.  The cost of each group offered varies, so please check with New Leaf Staff regarding the cost of any group you may be interested in for your child.   Full payment for the group is collected in its entirety prior to the start of the group to help ensure all participants are committed to the group process and to help create consistency among members throughout the duration of the group.   A non-refundable deposit of  $50 is required to reserve a space, and this deposit will be used toward the total cost of the group.  Please refer to our Group Therapy page to see what groups are currently available.

Payment:

Cash or check is accepted for payment at the time of your appointment.

Cancellation Policy:

We require at least 48 hours notice prior to canceling or rescheduling an appointment. All missed or improperly canceled appointments will be assessed a $25 cancellation fee.

No Surprises Act

Effective January 1, 2022, the federal No Surprises Act protects patients from surprise bills for emergency services and for certain non-emergency services provided by out-ofnetwork providers at in-network facilities. If these protections apply, patients are only liable for in-network cost-sharing amounts. North Carolina law also provides some protections from surprise bills.  You can read more here.
