Anne Muttai, LCMHCA
Anne is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. She has counseling experience working with individuals with dual diagnoses (mental health & substance use disorders), depression and anxiety, as well as parenting concerns. Her theoretical orientation is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which focuses on addressing maladaptive thoughts, beliefs and attitudes in addition to helping individuals develop healthy coping strategies. She also includes elements of person-centered theory to individualize her approach. Anne was born in Kenya and has a keen interest in working with
clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds keeping in mind their unique cultural identity. She has an even stronger desire to support families struggling with the complexities involved in adjusting to American life. Anne is passionate about helping those she works with find hope and relief from their emotional and mental distress, leading them to healthier ways of living.
