Dava Muserallo, LCMHCS, LCAS, CCS, NCC Therapist
Dava is a therapist and clinical supervisor at New Leaf. She has over 20 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who have emotional health and wellness needs. Her approach to counseling focuses on helping people find a greater sense of balance in their lives. Inevitably, everyone struggles to manage all of the competing roles they play in life, and there becomes an imbalance when someone doesn’t prioritize themselves and their emotional health. Ultimately, all roles in their lives suffer. She holds to the belief that one’s emotional health is just as important as their physical health, and therefore, should be cared for and looked after. Counseling is a way to do just that – care for and prioritize your emotional health. It is Dava’s goal to help those she works with achieve emotional stability by regaining balance in their lives.
Dava works with children, adolescents, and adults suffering from a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress reduction, coping skills, and life transitions. Her primary approach is Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy (CBT), and she also incorporates elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in her work.
