Katherine Brown, LCMHCA Therapist
Katherine is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associated (LCMHCA) who graduated in 2025 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UNC Pembroke. She began her counseling career out of a deep desire to help others reach their fullest potential. Prior to becoming a therapist, Catherine worked for four years as a Registered Behavioral Technician, supporting children with autism spectrum disorder.
Katherine is passionate about helping clients feel safe, supported, and understood. She believes therapy works best as a collaborative process, where clients are active partners in setting goals and working toward meaningful change. Her approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and grounded in respect for each client’s unique experience. Katherine works with all ages and has a particular interest in working with adolescents who have experienced trauma. She is committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care for all she works with.
In her work, she draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy to support growth, self-awareness, and emotional resilience. She creates a welcoming space that encourages honest reflection while building practical skills clients can use in daily life.
