Oneyda Garcia, LCMHC, LCASA Therapist

Oneyda is Spanish speaking therapist, dually licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate.  She graduated from from Nova Southeastern completed her internship at New Leaf Behavioral Health in 2019 establishing her clinical foundation using Cognitive Behavior Therapy in her work with clients.  Oneyda’s approach is a Person Centered one that focuses on developing rapport with the client while incorporating evidenced based practices into her work to facilitate change. She works with the client collaboratively to identify their needs and works towards them. This involves identifying factors in the client’s life, such as relationships or their environment, that may be impacting them, and identifying thoughts and behaviors that the client has that impacts them. The eventual goal of therapy is for the client to develop the necessary skills that they no longer need therapy.
